Since this firewall blocks incoming connections you may need open a port through it for certain games and applications. This process of opening a port is frequently called a port forward, since you are forwarding a port from the internet to your home network.

Hi all,
I just bought a Asus RT-N10E(LX). http://www.asus.com/Networks/Wireless_Routers/RTN10E_RTN10LX/
From the box, I could see the different design but I thought it would be compatible in terms of firmware (dd-wrt). Wrong....
I don't see anything related to RT-N10E(LX) support... Anyone with the same router? What kind of chip is it? Broadcom/Ralink/Atheros?
If needed, I'll 'trash' the warranty and will open it in order to send some pics.
Thanks for your attention!
Best regards,
anthonws.

Thanks for the reply Dark_Shadow!
I did the search for the FCC and found this:
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=504579&fcc_id='MSQRTN10B'
But the external case is not the same. And at Asus site there's a page for RT-N10+ and for mine RT-N10E(LX)....
I already posted a question at Asus VIP forum, since I have a higher firmware version than those available at this page:
http://www.asus.com/Networks/Wireless_Routers/RTN10E_RTN10LX/#download
What a mess :S
Thanks,
anthonws.

Anyway, it seems Asus likes to play some mind tricks...
My RT-N10 C1, and is case 100% equal to the RT-N10E(LX), is actually a RT-N10+!!! Urrayyy!!!
I was able to flash version 2.0.2.8 from the Asus site over here: http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&m=rt-n10+plus.
So, thanks a lot anyway...
